To make it up to me, he promised me an epic review with photos... and he's no doubt a man of his word. Get ready, your eyes will be drooling by the end of this one!
Gordon Ramsay Steak by The Dude
Going to Gordon Ramsay Steak was a happy accident. As we were driving down the strip, I noticed a blatantly conspicuous sign for GR Steak out in front of Paris and I exclaimed, "YES! WE'RE GOING HERE!" Everyone agreed immediately. I called for two days to make a reservation (please note that they don't open until 5pm) and once we got the reservation, we almost missed it. I had to call to push our reservation from 5pm to 10pm. The anticipation of going to Gordon Ramsay Steak was unbearable. Out of the five in the bachelor party, four made it. As corny as it is, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Except for this review, which I felt obligated to share with the world.
The decor was great, but I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. My one and only focus here is on the Prime Rib.
The dude said if you stood directly underneath this and looked up, you see Ramsay's face.
Hell's Kitchen in real life.
You get a menu for the food and an iPad for the wine list... so boss!
Now, to the MEAT of this post...
My original plan was to just get a filet medium rare, but when they rolled out a gallery of various cuts of steak (see above), my mind quickly changed. We all unanimously agreed on the prime rib and its glorious marbling.
Are those cinnamon buns? I bet they didn't even touch the bread.
Why didn't he doggy bag this for me and bring it back so I could get some of this action? UGH.
As I sat there patiently waiting for my steak, I could only fathom how good it could be. Once the prime rib was placed in front of me, I could only stare and appreciate how amazingly delicious it looked and was just overwhelmed by the enticing aroma of a beautiful steak. I brushed off the green
crap garnish, took my first cut, and it was a perfect medium rare. When I took my first bite, I literally came in my pants with no disregard. Every tender bite seemed to be better than the next and I couldn't help but smile. Needless to say, I was sad when it was over.
Word to the wise: If you decide to eat here, know that it WILL ruin all steaks for you in the future. Seriously. No joke, I will forever compare every steak from here on out to GR Steak.
